Scotty Bahrke was born and raised in Lake Tahoe California and now resides in Park City, UT.  If there was any sport Scotty Bahrke was destined to do, it was aerial skiing.  Ever since he was little he jumped off everything in sight and instantly fell in love with the sport of Aerials after visiting the Utah Olympic Park when he was in middle school.  In 2007 he was named to the U.S. Freestyle Aerial Ski Team and established himself as a true contender, being named World Cup Rookie of the Year.  He was a member of the 2010 Olympic team in Vancouver, CAN.  In addition to his Olympic appearance he was also a member of 3 World Championship teams and brought home 1 World Cup win.

After retiring from competition in 2014, he has taken his knowledge of jumping and paid it forward to the next generation of athletes.  He went to work as the head jumping coach for the Norwegian and Swedish National Ski Teams and led a strong team of Olympians in the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics in South Korea.  He then took his talents stateside and has coached the elite athletes for both the Telluride Freestyle Team and currently the Park City Ski & Snowboard Team.

In his spare time he can be found wandering around the mountains.  He loves rock climbing, exploring the desert, and any place he can “bag a peak.”
