Anna Sullivan was a member of the Canadian National Alpine Ski Team for 9 years (2003 – 2012). Her dream to compete in the Olympics was realized in 2010 when she competed in front of her home crowd in Vancouver, Canada. Her Olympic experience was especially meaningful because she sustained what should have been a season-ending knee injury (tearing her Anterior Cruciate Ligament) one month prior to the games. Through hard work (mental and physical), Anna was able to compete despite the injury. Her ski career highlights include:
Member of Canadian Olympic Team, 2010
3-time World Championships Team Member
Winning World Cup Run, 2013 – Ofterschwang, Germany
Winning US Nationals in 2013 – Squaw Valley, USA
Winning “Red Bull Raid” in 2019 – a big mountain and endurance competition
In 2012, Anna co-founded “The Ski Racing Sisterhood,” a ski camp that each year empowers 32 teenage girls to bring their ski racing and personal leadership skills to an elite level (www.skiracingsisterhood). She also helps coordinate and coach American Downhiller ski camps with her husband Marco Sullivan (www.americandownhiller.com ).
The past two years Anna has started competing in a new sport, Enduro Mountain Bike racing. After she was victorious in the first two races she ever entered she took aim for big leagues and earned herself a start spot in the Enduro World Series for the 2019 season. Her short but sweet bike career highlights include:
1st place Pro Category in the “Sturdy Dirty Enduro” in Oakridge, OR & Tiger Mountain, WA – 2018
4th place Pro Category California Enduro Series, Northstar California
22nd Place Pro Category in the Enduro World Series, Zermatt, Switzerland – 2019
24th Place Pro Category in the Enduro World Series, Northstar, California – 2019
